Open Access Policy
International Journal of Innovative Solutions in Engineering (IJISE) is an open-access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. The journal allows authors to retain copyright and recommends the use of a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license to ensure broad dissemination and reuse of research.
Archiving Policy
International Journal of Innovative Solutions in Engineering (IJISE) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. To ensure permanent availability, all articles published in IJISE are deposited in the Zenodo digital repository (hosted by CERN and OpenAIRE). Zenodo assigns a DOI to each deposit and guarantees long-term storage, preservation, and global accessibility.
In addition, IJISE content is archived on the journal’s own servers and backed up regularly to safeguard against data loss, including PDF deposition of each article in the university and faculty’s digital repository.
Authors are also permitted to self-archive the final published version of their articles in institutional or disciplinary repositories.
This archiving strategy ensures that IJISE articles remain:
- Findable – indexed in Zenodo, Google Scholar, and OpenAIRE.
- Accessible – freely available to all users under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license.
- Interoperable & Reusable – preserved in trusted repositories in compliance with FAIR principles.
By combining institutional hosting and Zenodo deposition, IJISE guarantees the permanent preservation of the scholarly record. This policy ensures that all journal articles remain permanently accessible, citable, and preserved for future generations of researchers, even in the event of disruption to the journal website.
Peer Review Statement
All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Innovative Solutions in Engineering (IJISE) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Each submission is initially assessed by the editorial team for compliance with the journal’s scope and formatting guidelines. Suitable manuscripts are then assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers to assess the quality, originality, clarity, and contribution to the field. The reviewers’ recommendations determine whether the manuscript is accepted, revised, or rejected. Reviewers remain anonymous to authors, and authors’ identities are not revealed to reviewers. The editorial board makes the final decision based on reviewers’ comments, originality, and scientific contribution.
Plagiarism Detection & Originality Policy
To maintain the highest standards of academic integrity and ensure the originality of published research, International Journal of Innovative Solutions in Engineering utilizes iThenticate—the industry-leading plagiarism-detection software—as a mandatory step in the peer-review process.
How the Process Works:
- Initial Screening: Upon submission, all manuscripts are automatically processed through iThenticate before being assigned to further procedure.
- Report Analysis: Our editorial team reviews the “Similarity Report.” We understand that high similarity scores do not always equate to plagiarism (e.g., standard methodology descriptions or properly cited references).
- Editorial Decision:
- Low Similarity: The manuscript proceeds through the review process.
- Moderate/High Similarity: The editor conducts a manual deep dive. If overlapping text is found without proper attribution, the manuscript may be returned for revision or rejected immediately.
- Self-Plagiarism: We also monitor for “text recycling” or duplicate publication of an author’s own previous work to ensure every paper provides a fresh contribution to the field.
Plagiarism Guidelines for Authors:
To ensure a smooth review process, authors are encouraged to:
- Attribute everything: Ensure all data, ideas, and direct quotes are properly cited.
- Paraphrase effectively: Avoid “copy-pasting” even if the source is cited; interpret the work in your own words.
- Disclose prior work: If your submission builds significantly on a previously published conference paper or thesis, please disclose this in the manuscript at the end, right after the conclusion chapter, with the following:
Relationship to Prior Work: This article is an extended version of a paper originally presented at the [Conference Name] held in [Location/Date].
Note: International Journal of Innovative Solutions in Engineering reserves the right to reject any manuscript at any stage of the review or production process if plagiarism or unethical content recycling is identified.
