IJISE Special Issues

What is a Special Issue?

Special Issues are focused collections of articles dedicated to emerging and highly specialized topics, led by expert Guest Editors. Every manuscript submitted to a Special Issue goes through our standard, rigorous peer-review process. Accepted papers are integrated into our regular publication schedule, but are also uniquely tagged and featured together on a dedicated page to maximize their scientific reach and discoverability.

What are the benefits of publishing in a Special Issue?

Authors who publish in our Special Issues benefit from significantly enhanced visibility and academic reach. Because articles are grouped around highly specific topics, they are easier for scholars to navigate, often resulting in increased readership and higher citations. Beyond publication, these focused collections serve as a platform to amplify your research through targeted promotion and help you build valuable connections with other leading experts in your field.

What is the general procedure for submissions to the Special Issue?

The Editorial Board controls the whole process. The Guest Editor leads the ongoing process and, via the email address listed on the Special Issue webpage, is in contact with all interested authors on the topic, so everyone can view the status of the Special Issue by clicking the Special Issue title.

Where do the interested scholars submit a Special Issue Proposal?

The Editorial Office of the journal usually invites scholars to guest-edit Special Issues on topics of interest to the broader scientific community, but they can also submit a Special Issue Proposal via Application Form.
